Brave! Factory Festival
An industrial site transformed into a setting for electronic music, installations, murals and temporary meeting places. Warehouses, roofs and machinery became part of the artistic and spatial programme.
Curatorial collective: Maria Vtorushina, Andrii Siguntsov, Kateryna Ray and Daria Shevtsova.
About the project
Brave! Factory began with the idea of writing “Brave!” across one of the MetroBud factory’s long roofs. The industrial site then became a meeting place for electronic music, contemporary art and urban culture, with more than 50 musicians, DJs and artists from different countries taking part.
Warehouses and machine halls became dance floors and galleries; walls turned into large canvases; concrete platforms and overlooked green areas became stages. Existing machinery, pipes and working structures were incorporated into the festival’s spatial experience rather than treated simply as scenery.
The project explored what could happen when a functioning industrial environment opened itself to another rhythm of use. Art and music temporarily reorganised the site, allowing production spaces to become places of encounter, performance and collective movement.
