Oksana — AntiGonna: 13

An exhibition of Antigonna’s work addressing the body, sexuality, fear and emancipation. Photography and collaborations explore the tension between personal experience and the social forces that shape how bodies are seen.

About the project

AntiGonna’s practice treats the body as a site where personal autonomy encounters social power. Working as both artist and model, she uses her own corporeality as an instrument: erotic and desiring, but also capable of becoming detached, deliberate and confrontational.

Fear, sexuality, death and the transition between extreme states recur throughout her work. The exhibition considers these themes against the stigma surrounding nudity and sexuality, asking what remains excluded from public discussion and how that exclusion shapes the bodily self.

Her collaborations with other artists reveal more than an individual image. They expose collective fears, inherited traumas and the taboos through which society regulates visibility. The curatorial reading follows the artist’s movement towards sexual freedom, equality and emancipation, without smoothing away the contradictions and discomfort that make this work urgent.
